Ahhh award season. Some winemakers love it, others despise it and here at Ballandean Estate, well, we certainly like to play the game......as long as it is on a level playing field.
This week the RASQ awards were held in Toowoomba. A national wine show with big names like D'Arenberg and Casella exhibiting, as well as many from the Granite Belt.
We are proud to say that we won a GOLD medal for the 2013 "Messing About" Saperavi, and a SILVER for our2013 "Messing About" Durif, as well as 2 BRONZE medals for the 2012 Opera Block Shiraz and the 2013 "Messing About" Malbec/Jacquez. A great result and testament to the hard work of our grapegrowing and winemaking teams and our winemaker Dylan....good job old fella!!!
